Plot Neelix becomes interested in Earth history, spurring research about
an ancestor ofCaptain Janeway named Shannon O'Donnell who was alive at the
turn of the 21^st century.
The story then turns to Shannon, played by the same actress who portrays
Janeway, Kate Mulgrew. She is part of a Millennium Gate tower project,
which would be a broad step forward in space exploration. Unfortunately,
it's also devastating the nearby town. Henry Janeway, a bookstore owner,
does not want to give up the property the store sits upon.
Shannon and Henry become personally involved, leading to many conflicts
