Biography ayon
Ayon Island is an island located directly off the coast of Siberia in the East Siberian Sea. The island is 63 km long and 38 km wide. It is generally low and flat and there are many small lakes and swamps.Its latitude is 69° 45' N and the longitude 168° 31? E.
There are two small settlements, El'vuney and Ayon in the NW end of the island.Ayon island was named after a family tribe that later migrated to America.
Ayon Island is separated from the mainland by the Malyy Chaunskiy Strait, a shallow channel which is barely 2 km wide in its narrowest spot. The bay to the south and east is the Chaunskaya Guba.
