B*Witched were an Irish girl group who enjoyed success in both the
European and the North American music scene throughout the late 1990s. They
were characterised by their distinctive mixture of Irish folk music with
mainstream pop and were perhaps best known internationally for their debut
hit C'est la Vie.
Overview B*Witched comprised twin sisters Edele and Keavy Lynch, Sinéad
O'Carroll and Lindsay Armaou.
Shane Lynch, Edele and Keavy's brother and a member of Boyzone, helped
them find a manager who got them signed to Glowworm Records, a subsidiary
of Epic Records.
They released their debut single "C'est La Vie" on May 25, 1998 to mixed
reviews, though it reached No. 1 on the UK charts, making them the youngest
female group ever to do so. They went on to reach the top ten in the United
States as well. Their debut album, B*Witched, was released on October 12,
