K-rino was born in Houston, tx.and raised in an area of town called south park.he began rappin' when he was 13 years old, inspired by the early pioneers of hip hop. (grandmaster flash, sugar hill gang, kurtis blow all the way up to run-dmc, t-la-rock, and krs-one.he built a strong reputation by battling rival rappers in the streets and clubs of Houston.in his early stages of evolution as an artist, he entered and won many talent shows and performed in many nightclubs although he and his group members were underaged.in 1986,he approached his father about cutting a record and with the financial backing provided by his dad, he recorded and released his first single with his group "real chill"in 1987.a song entitled 'rockin' it'.the group consisted of preppy jay, and G.T.this was one of the first rap records to ever come from the city of Houston and the first to come from south park, putting k-rino and real chill in history for all times. 1987 was also the year k-rino founded th
